About the project

In 2013 I ranked Number One in both Great Britain and Europe for the T11 (totally blind) 100m. The following year I broke the T11 indoor 60m British Record and went on to represent England at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games where I placed 5th in the T11/12 100m at my first Major Championships. Since then a combination of injury, illness and financial constraints resulted in a rough 2015 and non selection for the European Championships taking place in June 2016. Despite being injured after the Commonwealths I had to stop all physio/sports massage due to financial reasons and evidently this impacted severely on my progress. Therefore, this year I began to receive treatment again and the benefit is already proving to be massive. On 18 May 2016 I ran my fastest time ever over a first run and currently find myself topping the European rankings once more. However, I have to self-fund my Athletics career and I’m struggling to cover the on-going physio/sports massage costs. Please help me to fulfil my potential as I endeavour to sprint to success.

Anniversary Games

Selina 07/21/2016

Hi All

Just to update you i'm slowly working through the distribution of rewards, so if you haven't heard from me yet, you will do soon.

As previously mentioned I will be competing at the London Anniversary Games on Saturday 23 July in the T11/12 200m. My race is at 13:07 and you can watch it live on More Four. The BBC Two coverage starts at 13:15 and the race may be repeated on there too.

I'm pleased to announce I will officially be representing Great Britain at the event earning me my first GB vest.

In other news I ran a big PB over 100m last night clocking 13.61secs. That time would have placed me 4th at last month's European Championships, but who wants to finish 4th?! Hoping to keep on pushing and progressing thanks to the kind donations from yourselves.

Thanks for your continued support.

Selina

Thank You!

Hi All

Today is the final day of my crowd funding project and I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for your support. I never imagined that I would smash my target. I'm so very very grateful, you have released me from a major financial strain. The funds are going to be a massive help in ensuring I remain fit and healthy. Hopefully I can now reach my full potential.

I will be in contact regarding rewards over the next couple of weeks. In the meantime you can catch me competing at the London Anniversary Games in the T11/12 200m on Saturday 23 July. The event will be broadcast live on BBC. 200m is really not my event, but the plan is to enjoy the experience and squeeze out a PB.

Thanks so much again.

Yours in Sport
